In pictures: Kate dons camo and gets up close with Javelin missile during snow-covered drill

The Princess of Wales got stuck in during training alongside the Irish Guards on Salisbury Plain – despite the sub-zero conditions.

Kate, who is Royal Colonel of the Irish Guards, braved the cold wearing brown Berghaus boots and a green combat jacket.

After taking part in drills in the snow she got the chance to speak to members of the regiment.

She was pictured being shown the command launch unit (CLU) of a Javelin missile and wrapping a bandage around a casualty.
