Former SBS operatives Jason 'Foxy' Fox and Matthew 'Ollie' Ollerton, from Channel 4's hit show 'SAS Who Dares Wins', have joined our #IRemember campaign.

The pair, who both appear as directing staff in the series, made short #IRemember tribute videos when they visited BFBS and Forces Network's headquarters this week.

Jason paid tribute to his friend and colleague Sergeant Lee 'Andy' Houltram, who was killed by an IED during a Special Forces operation to destroy a bomb factory in Helmand province, Afghanistan, in August 2009.

"He was a very good friend of mine," he said. "He was in a different squadron to me – we were supposed to be taking over from them in Afghanistan, which we did. Unfortunately, two days before we came into the country Andy was killed in an IED strike and I never actually got to see him again."

Ollie paid tribute to his grandfather, who was a Captain in the Royal Engineers. "He was an influence for me growing up, and he died when I was very young. He's the reason I joined the military."

If you'd like to join our #IRemember campaign in the run-up to Armistice Day you can post brief tributes to relatives or loved ones who served our country, using the #IRemember hashtag on social media.

They might have seen action in either World War, they might have served in peacetime, they might have been killed in action or lived a long and happy life after leaving the forces; they might have not have served in uniform but supported the war effort in another way. It's up to you to remember whoever you choose.

To take part in #IRemember, you can use our BFBS and Forces News Facebook pages – you can just add your memories in the comments section of our posts.

If you want to use Twitter, make sure you use the #IRemember hashtag and tag us in using our @bfbs handle.

And if you want to use Instagram, again – use the #IRemember hashtag and tag us in using our forces_tv handle.

Do join in with #IRemember – let's make sure we remember those who gave so much.
