There have been commemorations up and down the country to celebrate the centenary of the RAF.

The Royal Air Force was formed on April 1, 1918, and they are celebrating their 100th birthday with many events designed to celebrate its history and look to the future including a baton relay, flypasts and parades.

In Basingstoke, local people lined the parade route leading to the War Memorial to pay tribute to Britain's armed forces and enjoy a flypast by RAF Odiham.

Forces Radio BFBS Aldershot's Natasha Reneaux was there and spoke to RAF Odiham Station Commander, Group Captain Lee Turner about the commemoration.

Lucky Basingstoke residents watched personnel from RAF Odiham parade the route accompanied by The Band of the RAF Regiment, veterans and cadets.
