RAF Odiham has hosted a night of military boxing as the Royal Air Force took on 32 Engineer Regiment from Catterick.
It was a fierce evening of boxing in the Chinook hangar showcasing the emerging talent from both the Royal Air Force and 32 Engineer Regiment.
32 Engineer Regiment got off the mark in the first bout as Sapper Pun had a unanimous win over Leading Aircraftman (LAC) Ethan Cozier.
Bout two was the middleweight contest between LAC Lee Greenwood of RAF Odiham and Lance Corporal Lynn of the Engineers with Lee winning unanimously.
The only female bout of the evening saw White representing the RAF winning on a split decision over Sapper Sergeant of 32 Engineer Regiment.
Bout four was the middleweight contest with Corporal Alex Leslie of RAF Cosford getting the unanimous win over Sapper Kelly.
Alex said on winning:
"Quite relieved, it was a tough fight but luckily I put enough pressure on him to win the last round. So really happy with that."
The final bout before the interval Sapper Woodward of 32 Engineer Regiment and Army Boxing Development Team took the win on a split after a closely fought battle with Senior Aircraftman (SAC) Jo Orr of RAF Odiham.
"I’ve been training now for a good two months."
The Engineers secured their third win after the interval as Blake representing the Engineers defeated Corporal Luke Willis in the elite welterweight contest.
Flight Lieutenant Ian Donaldson of RAF Odiham gave a strong performance to rack up another win for the RAF with a unanimous victory over the Engineer’s Sapper Bedford.
SAC Mark Tuinaceva of RAF Odiham was named Best Boxer of the evening after defeating Lance Corporal Tanner of 32 Engineer Regiment in the cruiserweight contest.
"It’s a really good home show, the atmosphere is really amazing."
SAC Devine of RAF Lossiemouth won a hard-fought final bout of the show beating Royal Marine Captain Martin of the Royal Navy and Royal Marine Boxing Team in elite middleweight.
The overall winners were the RAF.
