Mikaela started her career as a journalist in London, specialising in the world of interiors magazines, where she was frequently working with photographers in beautiful locations all over the UK.
After becoming an Army wife and moving to Germany, she found her skills as an interior stylist and writer were rarely needed on Hohne's married patch, so she had a change of tack and became the Garrison Information Officer for The Desert Rats.
A posting to Sennelager led her to join BFBS as a local radio reporter, where she relished covering 20th Armoured Brigade's training and deployment periods as well as Anglo-German events such as the Hameln Dragon Boat Race.
After two and a half years she swapped life in BFG for the spa town of Harrogate, then onto Bulford where Mikaela now heads up BFBS PR and The BFBS Big Salute
Mikaela loves swimming, surfing or riding her laid-back 'Wonder Horse' Ollie. And she still enjoys ogling at architecture in weird and wonderful places.
