The Royal Logistic Corps (RLC) celebrated their 25th anniversary with family and friends on a sunny annual corps open day at Deepcut.
This year the RLC say goodbye to Deepcut Barracks as it is hoped by September next year they will be at their new home at Worthy Down.
Members of the Corps both past and present along with local residents enjoyed a day of sunshine and great entertainment, with the Bruce Rugby 7’s taking place in the morning.
It was 25 Regiment who took home the trophy winning19-12 against 9 Regiment
During the day there was a firepower demo by 13 Air Assault Support Regiment RLC and the RLC Enduro Motorcycle Display team took to the arena to perform stunts on endurance bikes which included jumping over four trucks.
The RLC’s Mounted Skills at Arms display team gave an equestrian tent pegging displays which not only showed their horse riding skills but also the skill of using lances and swords.
The Silver Stars Parachute Display team dropped in during the afternoon with their team of ten carrying the Union Jack, ABF flag, British Army flag and also the England flag in support of the England football match.
The Massed Bands of the RLC rounded the proceedings in the arena up and marched everyone to a big screen for everyone to watch the England v Sweden match.
The jam-packed day was rounded off with a musical celebration with Party in the Park late into the evening, a great way to end 25 years in Deepcut.
