A Teenage John Flood

Do you know a John Flood who served in the Royal Air Force during the 1960s?

Half a decade later his old unit is having a reunion and is desperate for him to be there. Can you help?

John was posted to RAF Akrotiri as a Motor Transport Mechanic with the 43rd RAF Boy Entrants in 1964.

Morris Brand became good friends with John but has since lost contact after leaving Cyprus in 1965.

Together with his old unit, he has been searching for four years to reunite the 'lost lads'. The search has taken them around the world.

Some have sadly passed on, one man never left Cyprus, and others emigrated to places such as Australia and New Zealand.

With a reunion looming, Morris is desperate for John to be there.

"John came from Paisley in Scotland and at the time was of slim build with what I would describe as ginger hair. He will probably 73 years of age now and as far as I recollect, he wasn’t very much of a sportsman but liked to read and played the guitar and banjo".

"It would be such a shame to not find him. If anybody has any information, please come forward".
