Widow on emotional visit to Falklands 40 years after husband's death
A woman who lost her husband hours before Argentina surrendered in the Falklands War in 1982 has visited the islands for the first time since his death.
Ann Woodard's husband, Craftsman Alex Shaw (a member of the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers) died just hours before Argentina surrendered, leaving her alone with their five-month-old son.
She was just 21 at the time. They had been childhood sweethearts - married 4 years before.
She spoke emotionally about how she heard of his passing, and how good it was to go and see the place where he died.
