Duke of Kent joins Falklands veterans at Pangbourne College
The Duke placed a rock brought from the South Atlantic onto a memorial to those lost in the conflict.
The Duke of Kent joined families and veterans of the Falklands War at a memorial service at Pangbourne College, Berkshire, to mark the 40th anniversary of the conflict.
The event included the participation of the 40th anniversary Falklands bike ride – a group of veteran cyclists visiting memorial sites dedicated to 1982 – and a commemorative church service inside the Falkland Islands memorial chapel.
Fifty-one former pupils of Pangbourne College took part in the war 40 years ago.
