Today, we take a tour of the AW149 helicopter – one of four finalists in a shortlist as the Ministry of Defence looks to replace the Puma.
As well as replacing the Puma, the new helicopter, built by Leonardo, is expected to be able to incorporate three existing helicopter requirements into one platform-type.
We take a look at the capabilities of the latest-generation, medium multi-role military helicopter.
Royal Marine Lance Corporal Taylor Lawrence also features in our update today after he won a silver medal as part of the GB 4-man Bobsleigh team at the World Championships in St Moritz.
The team of Lawrence, Greg Cackett, Aaron Gulliver and driver Brad Hall produced four superb runs and were tied for second place with the Latvian team, driven by Emile Cipulis, finishing on identical times of 4:20:30.
