Will Russia use weapons of mass destruction against Ukraine?

In the past five days, the Ukrainian military have liberated 3,000 sq km of occupied territory in their country.

General Sir Richard Barrons says that Ukrainian forces skillfully conducted operations to retake the land and while doing so have highlighted the fragility of Russian forces' resistance.

The former head of Joint Forces Command warns that if Russia starts to feel that it is on the brink of defeat, this could lead to their use of either tactical nuclear or chemical weapons.
