'We're Lethal': Watch Apache vs Wildcat On Exercise With Army's New 1st Aviation Brigade
Meet the British Army's new 1st Aviation Brigade.
The service's first aviation brigade unites two of the service's key aircraft - the Wildcat reconnaissance helicopters and Apache attack helicopters, and their supporting regiments.
Forces News joined the Brigade and the two aircraft on exercise at Stanford Training Area (STANTA) in Norfolk.
The Wildcat is largely unarmed, light and agile and has excellent camera and targeting systems. It finds the enemy and communicates the target to the Apache.
In contrast, the Apache is heavily armed, designed for battle.
