Watch: 1982 memorial service live from the Falklands

How to virtually take part in events marking 40 years since the conflict.

Forces News is today livestreaming memorial services to remember those who were lost in the Falklands conflict, 40 years on.

The service followed earlier memorial commemorations at Fitzroy in the East Falklands and a service to remember the fallen of HMS Glamorgan at Hookers Point, when wreaths were laid on behalf of the people of the Falkland Islands.

Watch: Falklands Freedom Parade – veterans remember the conflict 40 years on.

The Royal British Legion commemorative event at the National Memorial Arboretum on Tuesday 14 June will be livestreamed by Forces News.

Veterans of the campaign and their families will come together to remember the key moments in the conflict, those who served and those who supported the Task Force, including merchant mariners, dock workers and civilians.

An act of remembrance will be shown from the 1982 Cemetery in Port Stanley – the event narrated by journalist Max Hastings, who reported from the Task Force in 1982.

13:50 UK time (09.50 Falklands time).

You can watch the whole event live, only on the Forces News YouTube channel.
