Two people have been killed and six others wounded after a rocket engine exploded during a test in Russia, according to the country's defence ministry.
The ministry said the explosion happened at a military shooting range in Nyonoksa in the north-western Arkhangelsk region, causing a fire.
It said six servicemen and civilian engineers were injured, and two of them later died.
The ministry said there was no release of radioactivity or any toxic substances.
However, the local administration in Severodvinsk, around 19 miles east of Nyonoksa, reported a brief increase in radiation levels.
Nyonoksa hosts a navy facility that serves as a base for testing intercontinental ballistic missiles designed for nuclear submarines.
The explosion comes days after a massive fire on Monday at a military ammunition depot near Achinsk, in eastern Siberia's Krasnoyarsk region.
The fire caused powerful explosions that continued for about 16 hours, killing one person and injuring another 13.
The incident forced more than 16,500 people to flee their homes.
