Troops test Challenger 3 tank with virtual reality training system

The training system is reconfigurable and mobile, so it can be used to prevent skill fade when troops are deployed overseas.

Troops have been testing a virtual reality (VR) system used to simulate British Army vehicle training.

Developed by Lockheed Martin, the VR training can emulate eight vehicles – including a prototype of the Challenger 3 tank.

As well as being reconfigurable, the system is also mobile and could also be used to prevent skill fade when personnel are deployed.
