A former German prisoner of war has been speaking to Forces TV about his experiences in the Second World War.
 
Heinrich Krumpelmann was captured in Gutersloh by the Americans, before being taken to a 'tent city' in Antwerp.
 
He says the rise of Adolf Hitler and the actions of the Nazis made it difficult for ordinary soldiers to talk about their roles, and that it's taken until now for a new generation to want to hear their stories.
