Hamza Bin Laden, the son of the former al-Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden, is reported to have been killed in a military strike.

The Pentagon has not given any information about how or where his death took place, though unconfirmed reports suggest an operation in which the US played a role.

Thought to be aged around 30, Hamza Bin Laden had released audio and video messages calling for attacks on the US and other countries.

Earlier this year, America offered a $1 million reward for information that could lead to his capture and Saudi Arabia revoked his citizenship.

The New York Times reported that the US had a role in the operation that led to his death.

His father Osama bin Laden was killed in an American military raid in Pakistan in May 2011.

The US President Donald Trump has declined to comment when questioned by reporters on Wednesday.
