RAF sniper leads Jamaican bobsleigh team in Beijing
RAF sniper Lance Corporal Shanwayne Stephens is leading Jamaica's bobsleigh team at the Winter Olympics in China.
The Queen's Colour Squadron sniper pilots the Jamaican two-man and four-man sleds, several decaes since the country last qualified for the Winter Olympics in the four-man bobsled.
The Jamaican and RAF bobsleigh rider began sliding for the RAF in 2015 and got the opportunity to first trial for Jamaica in 2017.
He said: "I've been continuing with the team ever since, and I started driving for the team in the 2018 season.
"So, everybody is really excited. It's been a long, hard slog in the last four years for us – and it just shows that all our hard work and determination is finally gonna pay off."
