The new chair of COBSEO, the umbrella group for military charities, has told of his ambition to make the UK the best place to live as a veteran.

Lieutenant General Sir Nicholas Pope, who left the British Army two years ago, spoke to BFBS’ Sitrep Podcast about his priorities just days into his new job.

With military charities making up around 1% of the 170,000 charities in the UK, General Pope told Forces News the priorities are to engage with the government to resource the Armed Forces covenant, ensure the sector is aligned and ensure all veterans are included.
