F-35B Lightning fighter jets from the UK Carrier Strike Group have carried out simulated air combat and formation training with Singaporean F-16s, in the South China Sea's international waters.
It comes ahead of a visit to Singapore by the aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth, which conducted manoeuvring exercises with the UK Carrier Strike Group fleet and Republic of Singapore Navy ships.
HMS Queen Elizabeth will visit Singapore on Monday, demonstrating the good relationship between the UK and Singapore.
The UK's Foreign Office Minister for Asia Amanda Milling, and the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Sir Mike Wigston, are also in Singapore, and are due to meet senior military representatives from the state on board HMS Queen Elizabeth.
Britain's role in the Indo-Pacific is due to be among the discussion points as Ms Milling takes part in a think-tank round table meeting.
On the aircraft carrier, Air Chief Marshal Wigston will hear from 617 Squadron about how the F-35 Lightning aircraft has been operated during the UK Carrier Strike Group deployment.
