Military Personnel Across The World Join Nation In Applauding NHS Workers
British military personnel deployed across the world have joined the nation in applauding the NHS staff battling the coronavirus pandemic.
The royal family and the Prime Minister joined people all over the UK who flocked to their balconies and windows to take part in the 'Clap For Our Carers' tribute on Thursday evening.
Soldiers from 1st Battalion The Royal Fusiliers in Estonia, RAF personnel in Cyprus and soldiers from the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards in Poland all said their thanks.
While sailors on board HMS Shoreham and HMS Brocklesby in the Gulf also applauded, as well as personnel serving on HMS Enterprise in Singapore.
Back in the UK, the London Eye, Belfast City Hall and the Principality Stadium in Cardiff were lit up in NHS blue to pay tribute.
The NHS described the support as "emotional" in a statement on Twitter.
