Meet The Royal Marines Veteran Who's Now A Penny Farthing Instructor

Veteran Neil Laughton's passion for the Victorian bike means he devotes much of his time to teaching people how to ride them.

Neil Laughton, a former Royal Marine, ex-Special Forces reservist and keen Penny Farthing enthusiast, has been teaching others how to ride the Victorian-era bicycle.

Forces News met with the ex-commando to find out firsthand why, in 2020, sales of the iconic cycle increased by more than 200% in the UK alone.

Watch the video above to see Neil, who captains England at Penny Farthing polo and is founder of the Penny Farthing Club, instructing novice riders, who range in age from 16 to 85.
