Belize's new military band is tuning up – with help of Grenadier Guards

About 30 Army musicians are in the Central American country to help form and rehearse a Belize military band.

The Band of the Grenadier Guards are in Belize, helping the Central American country create and nurture a new military band.

Eighteen months of lockdown has hit military bands hard, but the Army musicians escaped the UK and headed to Belize at the request of the Belize Defence Force to nurture a new band in the country.

Captain Ben Mason, Director of Music, Band of the Grenadier Guards, told Forces News 35 musicians have travelled to Belize to work with the "fledgling band".
