Former Formula One World Champion Jenson Button has wished British military personnel a Happy New Year and thanked them for their service.
The 2009 F1 winner praised the work of personnel in rolling out the COVID-19 booster vaccine – more than 950 personnel are available to support the programme in England, Scotland and Wales.
He said: "Happy New Year to all the service personnel around the world and especially the ones that are helping out with the booster jabs."
Mr Button was speaking during the final race of the first Extreme E season – an electric off-road racing series – held at Bovington Training Area in Dorset.
Some of motorsport's biggest names are involved in Extreme E, with teams owned by Sir Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg. Button also owns and drives with his JBXE team.
