Earl and Countess of Wessex visit personnel on trip to Cyprus

The Royal couple were greeted by the Commander British Forces Cyprus.

Prince Edward and his wife Sophie are visiting Cyprus where they are meeting British Armed Forces as part of a three-day trip.

So far, they have marked the Queen's Platinum Jubilee and visited the UN buffer zone in the capital, Nicosia.

They have also visited Dhekelia where the Royal couple were greeted by the Commander British Forces Cyprus and will continue their visit today, Wednesday.

Prince Edward yesterday headed to the ranges to meet personnel from 1 Royal Anglian and 2 YORKS for a demo of the latest kit and even had a go at controlling some autonomous vehicles.

Meanwhile, the Countess of Wessex went to the early years centre to understand more about how the military community there is supported.
