US To Establish Space Force

Donald Trump has tweeted his approval for a multi-billion-dollar plan for a new branch of the US military - in space.

The US president tweeted "Space Force all the way" after the announcement at the Pentagon by Vice President Mike Pence.

Mr Pence said it is needed to counter threats from China and Russia.


Yemen Airstrike Kills Dozens Of Children 

The UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, has called for an independent inquiry after an air-strike by the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen is reported to have killed 29 children.

Nearly 50 more people, 30 of them children, were injured in the airstrike at a busy market in Saada province, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) said.

The British UN envoy to the country has warned Yemen risks becoming "Syria-plus" if conflict there is left unresolved.


Football Fans Encouraged To Help Tackle Terrorism 

Police are urging football fans to be more terror aware - warning stadiums and arenas remain a big target.

They say there is not a specific threat but want people going to matches to look out for any suspicious activity.

It is all part of their 'Know The Game Plan' campaign which was launched for the World Cup.
