A Czech military transport aircraft has transported medical equipment to North Macedonia in response to the coronavirus outbreak.
The CASA aircraft delivered 1,000,000 masks to the latest-joining member of NATO on Friday.
North Macedonia had requested assistance with the COVID-19 crisis via the Alliance's Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Centre (EADRCC), NATO's principal disaster response mechanism.
The EADRCC coordinates requests from Allies and partners and offers of assistance to cope with major crises.
Czech Republic has already provided critical medical supplies to Italy and Spain.
NATO Defence Ministers are due to hold an extraordinary virtual meeting to review the actions taken by NATO Allies in response to the pandemic.
