The repatriation of 26-year-old Lance Corporal Brodie Gillon took place at RAF Brize Norton.

A British reservist who died in a rocket attack in Iraq has been repatriated to the UK.

Lance Corporal Brodie Gillon was one of three coalition service members killed in an attack on Camp Taji last week.

The 26-year-old served as a reservist with the Scottish and North Irish Yeomanry, combining her military work with a career as a self-employed sports physiotherapist.

She was brought to RAF Brize Norton this afternoon.

LCpl Gillon joined the regiment in September 2015 as a Combat Medical Technician (CMT), progressing to qualify as a Class 1 Combat Medical Technician in 2018.

She had volunteered to be part of the Irish Guards Battle Group during their deployment to Iraq.
