British Army soldiers pass out with new musical skills

Out of the 30 soldiers who joined the Army School of Ceremonial 16 weeks ago, 24 commissioned as drummers.

Soldiers who joined the Army School of Ceremonial have passed out as military musicians.

Their musical role is secondary, with all the soldiers trained as infanteers.

Many of the troops would never have picked up an instrument before, but will now take the newfound musical skills out on ceremonial duties.
