An artist is to hand-draw all of the British military personnel who died in the 2003 Iraq War to honour and remember them.
The new project, called 'The Illustrious 181', will collect all the drawings into one book which will raise money for charity.
Sam says her motivation was knowing how drawing the fallen had meant to the families:
"For me, I love that I start with a blank sheet of paper and then this person is smiling back at me. I record the process as I believe it's comforting for the families to see how they're revealed and come back to life."
A series of exhibitions will collect all the drawings of the British personnel who died in Iraq and Afghanistan together in November.
The pictures are all uploaded to Facebook, where the families and friends of those who died can remember their loved one.
Sam says drawing for the families is a moving experience:
"I drew one of the soldiers from the tank regiment killed at Brecon and received a beautiful message from his widow... That's why we chose to do this."
