An Armed Forces Day To Remember

AFD 2018

Armed Forces Day 2018 got underway in Llandudno, North Wales today.

It’s a chance for the Armed Forces Family to get together to celebrate, commemorate and inspire – and this year did not disappoint.

Around 1100 personnel, veterans and cadets took part in a parade along the seaside town’s promenade, followed by a breath-taking display by the Red Arrows.

The aerobatic team used their smoke trails to put a love heart in the sky – as a rumoured rift between the Prime Minister Theresa May and Defence Secretary Gavin Williamson is reported to be ongoing.

So if you missed the action, you can watch the highlights above.

Or, the full 90 minute special edition of British Forces News is also available to watch here.
