Personnel are among more than 1,000 collectors who aim to raise £1 million in one day by selling poppies in London.
London Poppy Day is the largest single-day street collection of its kind in Europe.
Money raised by events on Thursday 31 October will go towards the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.
Military displays and music from 11 armed forces bands are also planned at some of the city's busiest train stations.
'Britain's Got Talent' magician, Lance Corporal Richard Jones will be performing on the London Underground.
Elsewhere, The Royal Marines Unarmed Combat Display Team will be at Waterloo Station.
The very first London Poppy Day was in 2006, where a team of ten volunteers raised £500.
