Meet the Nato specialists training to improve the rapid deployment of troops across Europe

Forces News has visited the Nato organisation tasked with the rapid deployment of troops and equipment anywhere in Europe.

The Joint Support and Enabling Command (JSEC) – based in Ulm, southern Germany - was set up after Russia’s annexation of Crimea.

Its role is to co-ordinate the reinforcement of troops and supplies from across the alliance and sustain military forces in the entire Euro-Atlantic area.

In the video above, JSEC Commander, Lieutenant General Alexander Sollfrank, told Forces News the war in Ukraine has given the organisation a new sense of urgency.

"We don't have time. We have to use our time now and we have to sit together, define the requirements together with the stakeholders in every country and move the mountain," he said.

"It's a mountain of work. It is really a big, big topic."
