Walk + Talk initiative brings personnel, past and present, together

A new initiative has been established to bring Armed Forces personnel, past and present, together in the countryside.

The activity has been organised by Walk + Talk.

Robin Bourne-Taylor, Walk + Talk co-founder, is a former captain in the Household Cavalry and said it "is a simple, no fuss, no cost way to connect".

Robin, a holder of a Conspicuous Gallantry Cross and a two-time Olympic athlete, said the initiative is a "really positive way to get you away from the stress of day-to-day life, get outside in the fresh air with people that we can all instantly connect with.

"So, whether you served together or you didn't, whether you're a veteran or serving or family, I guess the beauty of Walk and Talk is that everyone completely gets it. I mean it kind of says what it does."

The former Household Cavalry captain added: "The positive impact of peer support is a no-brainer."
