This week, BFBS the Forces Station will mark the 30th anniversary of Operation GRANBY by speaking with those who were there.
From the decision-makers to the pilots and navigators in the air, boots on the ground, reporters and family that were awaiting news back at home in 1991.
In their five-part series we look at the build-up to the operation, what life in the Gulf was like and the legacy that it left 30 years on.

Throughout the week on BFBS The Forces Station you will also hear from those assisting with Operation Rose in the UK, the military’s response to supporting COVID-19 testing for thousands of truckers in Kent.
Despite the busy holiday period and many already having full-time jobs, when the call came for Reservists to support regular troops in the fight against Covid, it was answered.
Royal Air Force Officer and BFBS broadcaster Amy Casey, spoke to Reserve personnel from 3rd Battalion Princess of Wales’s Royal Regiment who were mobilised within 20 hours of being asked to help on Op Rose.
