'Psychedelics cured my PTSD'
Maybe you have heard of ayahuasca.
Found in the Amazonian rainforest, it was originally a psychedelic brew used by ancient civilisations for religious and spiritual purposes.
Or maybe you have heard of it from people going off on travels, deep into the rainforest, to try some of the brew themselves.
Now, the psychedelic has been used to treat veterans of PTSD.
Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME) veteran Craig Rands saw friends killed in front of him and, like so many others, faced years of PTSD.
But, after flying to Peru with three other veterans, he took part in three ayahuasca ceremonies over the course of a week alongside a psychotherapist and says it has cured him.
