Musicians electrified the crowd and circus performers thrilled children as the CSE team hit RAF Benson with another live summer extravaganza.
The video here gives a taste of the party atmosphere as the band reels off classic rock tracks before a DJ took to the decks to bring the crowds on to the dancefloor.
More than 300 people let their hair down as the Combined Service Entertainment team gave them a night to remember and let off some steam.
Production team crew converted a large hanger space into a rocking night-time venue that was filled with an up to 500-strong party crowd by the end of the evening.
CSE's mission was complete with an added touch of cables, a vast array of lights and even a smoke machine.
After the spectacular air show, a special event to thank RAF Benson families for their unerring support, the CSE Circus team entertained the children, who were delighted by all the tricks and props on offer.
Tightrope walking, stilts, juggling and other performance arts created such an atmosphere of excitement that even the adults had a go.
The night of entertainment was kicked off with music by CSE favourite, the Minibar Disaster band. The rockers raised the hangar roof, reeling off classic anthems from AC/DC, Bryan Adams and the Foo Fighters. DJ Richard Sharkey filled the dance floor with his old-school anthems and rounded off a fantastic evening of entertainment.
The event was such a big hit that enquiries have been made about organising a larger event for Benson’s RAF 100 party next year. Watch this space...
The purpose of the event was to entertain the members and families of the RAF Puma Force, and Puma and Chinook Operational Conversion Unit, some of which regularly deploy to Afghanistan. As a result, CSE Events & Entertainment offered a beneficiary contribution to the total cost of the event.
