Flying Pigs, Stevi Ritchie And Paw Patrol: How The RAF Police Celebrated RAF 100

The RAF Police celebrated their centenary year with Rugby and CSE entertainment.

The Royal Air Force Police went all out to celebrate their centenary year with two nail-biting rugby clashes and a variety of fantastic entertainment.

The RAF Police Rugby team, aka the Flying Pigs, might not have won on the day but the RAF definitely took the trophy for organising a stellar event and Forces Live Events (CSE) were delighted to have helped with some of the day’s provision.

Forces Live Events (CSE) funded an appearance by the X Factor's Stevi Ritchie, and a DJ for the after party. CSE also arranged special appearances by Paw Patrol's Syke and Chase, plus Darth Vader and a Peppa Pig bouncy castle which was all very popular.

There was also a big screen broadcasting the Royal Wedding, as well as displaying action from the day to a 2000+ strong crowd

BFBS' Chris Pratt and Sharon Wilkinson were also there with the Outside Broadcasting truck.

The main event was, of course, the rugby with RAF Police vs the Metropolitan Police and the RAF Police Ladies vs British Police WRFC taking centre pitch, but the entertainment ensured everyone was able to make a day of it and enjoy celebrating 100 years of the Royal Air Force.

Event Organiser Cpl Rhys Wynn said:

"Thank you to CSE for going above & beyond with their time, support & advice as well as sourcing, providing & hosting Stevi Ritchie & Stevie T to the event."
