Virgin Trains has announced via Twitter that they will be offering free travel to the Cenotaph in London for serving personnel and veterans this Remembrance weekend.

Serving Armed Forces Personnel must be in uniform or must be carrying their MOD Card 90 to qualify for free travel.

Veterans without a Veterans ID Card in their possession will be able to travel for free if  they are wearing regimental headress, blazer, tie or their medals.

Also, the official UK Armed Forces veterans badge will be accepted as a form of ID.

Free travel is being offered for the above mentioned travelling anytime during Saturday 09, Sunday 10 and Monday 11 November.

Cadets travelling in military uniform will also benefit from the free offer.

Free travel can be redeemed to and from London using all Virgin Trains.

A Virgin Trains spokesperson said there is no need to pre-book. You can just arrive on the days you wish to travel.

However, for those who may need assistance while traveling, they would need to book this in advance through JourneyCare. More details here: https://www.virgintrains.co.uk/experience/assisted-travel/journeycare
