Armed Forces Day 2020: Thank Your Hero

Armed Forces Day is going to be a bit different this year due to COVID-19 restrictions so we want to give you the chance to thank your forces hero in a different way.
Normally, on Armed Forces Day, we give thanks to the men and women of our Armed Forces by celebrating with national events around the country. This year, however, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the main event planned for Scarborough has been cancelled.
Instead, on June 27, the events to mark the day will be virtual. As is tradition, at BFBS we will be honouring the day but this year we need your help.
Is there someone in the Armed Forces that you want to say thanks to?
What You Need To Do:
- Decide who you are going to thank
- Film your thank you message
- Make sure it is filmed portrait (ie not on its side) and no longer than one minute
- Send it to [email protected]
Easy peasy lemon squeezy.
All the videos we get will be shared across our social media pages, so keep an eye out for yours.
Here are some of the videos we’ve had already, can you find yours in-between a few familiar faces?
Even singer Peter Andre shared his thanks while on an instagram live with BFBS presenters Jay James and Amy Casey:
