Behind the scenes at the Defence Animal Training Regiment

The military and animals have always had a close relationship – with the UK Armed Forces using dogs and horses to fulfill a number of roles for decades.

The Defence Animal Training Regiment is the start of the journey for the animals, with 1,400 animals passing through the training centre every year.

Forces News spent some time with the regiment to find out more about how the animals and personnel are trained to work together.
