Former Afghan staff need more help to reach safety in the UK, former interpreter says

Kouchai Zaki, who helped the UK military during operations in Afghanistan, is now building a new life in Scotland.

A former Afghan interpreter has said those who assisted British forces in Afghanistan need more help to reach safety in the UK.

The withdrawal of Western forces from Afghanistan paved the way for the Taliban to retake power in the country.

This resulted in 10,000 Afghans being repatriated to the UK, with Kouchai Zaki now building a new life for his family in Scotland.

He told Forces News that those who helped the UK military have been left behind and should be helped out of Afghanistan.
