It is only a matter of days before the final Royal Navy Lynx helicopter leaves service.

The Lynx has been seen all over the world as the aircraft based aboard the Royal Navy's Frigates and Destroyers.

The last deployed Royal Navy Lynx flew home at the end of last week. Flight 208 took its place in the history books when it returned to Royal Naval Air Station Yeovilton in Somerset following a nine-month operational deployment on the frigate HMS Portland.

The Lynx helicopters took off from RNAS Yeovilton on Friday morning
