Former Royal Air Force Platoon Sergeant Duncan Slater lost both legs while serving in Afghanistan.
He has just become the first double leg amputee to complete six marathons in as many days in the Sahara desert for military charity, Walking With The Wounded.
Below is the exhilarating moment Duncan crossed the finishing line and received his winners medal.
This is Duncan’s second attempt to complete the 156 miles Marathon Des Sables in Morocco, one of the most gruelling challenges in the world, and he’s been talking to Richard Hatch and Verity Geere about why he wanted to do it.
Duncan and the Walking With The Wounded team managed to raise an amazing £26,000 pounds for the charity.
