The Division Game

I love to game... Fact!

But there are some games that stand out, on a personal level, as the top games ever. So here's my definitive top five...

5) The Division

This is a fantastic game. Not just because it is beautiful but because it is the first time I have ever been farmed as a player.

The social aspect of this game was pioneering and had not been seen before, ground breaking.

Not everyone liked the Dark Zone, but it was the first time I felt the consequences of getting it wrong in a game.

Myst Game

4) Myst

Yes, it is an old game. A classic 'point and click game'.

But from the very start, a beautiful fantasy world is created and as you move forward, the history and narrative slowly unfold around you like a mysterious flower.

It's a puzzle and was the first time a video game transformed me into a reality where even my imagination was challenged!

Dead Space Game

3) Dead Space

This game is terrifying!

I got it all set up, shut the door to my cell accommodation, closed the blinds, turned out the lights and booted up my system.

About halfway through the opening titles, when the little girl sings twinkle twinkle little star in a minor key, I opened the door, turned on the lights and asked a Bootneck mate to come sit with me while I played.

This game is sci-fi horror at its best!

Destiny Game

2) Destiny

There is no question, I love everything about this game.

Awesome story, it looks beautiful, is competitive and completely social.

For some reason, I just kept playing it, I have no idea why but I could not put it down.

Now that its sequel is out, I am hoping it replaces this game as my number 2.

Golden Eye Game

1) 007 Golden Eye

This game came out at just the right time for me in university.

I have spent countless nights playing this game on a huge screen, split into quarters, tossing banter around the room like we were actually holding the Walter pp7's.

Although I had played some first person shooters before this - Quake, Wolfenstein, Duke Nukem 3d - none played such a big part in my life as this masterpiece.
