HMS Warrior, a warship that was commissioned in the 1800s, has secured a £2.6 millon funding grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund.

She was restored to her former glory around 35 years ago and now sits in Portsmouth's Historic Dockyard.

HMS Warrior and her sister ship HMS Black Prince were the first iron-hulled, armour-plated warships, and were built as a result of a 19th century naval arms race between Britain and France.
