A man has been charged with the murder of an ex-Royal Navy officer after he was run down and killed by car thieves.
Mike Samwell, from Chorlton, Manchester, died in the early hours of Sunday April 23.
Ryan Gibbons, 29, has been charged with murder and has been remanded in custody to appear before Manchester Magistrates' Court on Saturday, Greater Manchester Police said.

At around 3am on Sunday, police were called to reports that Mr Samwell had been hit by his own car as he tried to stop thieves from stealing it.
The 35-year-old, who served 12 years in the Royal Navy, was taken to hospital for treatment but died a short time later.
A 15-year-old boy and two men, aged 20 and 21, were previously arrested on suspicion of murder and burglary, but have been bailed pending further inquiries.
