Campaigners for the Chennai 6 were protesting in London Today.
They want to highlight the fact 6 ex-servicee men, working as security guards on anti-piracy ships in the Indian Ocean are still imprisoned in India, four years after they were arrested on weapons charges in Indian waters.
The six men were arrested in 2013 afteIndianan customs officers boarded their ship and charged them with weapon possesion.
It was initially quashed as they presented paperwork to support the fact they were doing anti-piracy work and the weapons were held lawfully.
However a lower court reinsated the charges and all six men were sentenced to five years in prison.
The families have contact with the men, but they arent allowed phonecalls so it has to be letters back and forth, or expensive visits which the families have to fund themselves.
Their march today finished at India House – where they hope they were heard loud an clear.
